Privacy Policy

BrightBridge PH ("BrightBridge", "we", "us") is operated by HAON Software Development Services, a DTI-registered business based in the Philippines. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language because we believe parents deserve to understand exactly how a tool used for their children's learning handles data.

We comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules, as enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.

1. Who uses BrightBridge

BrightBridge accounts are created and used by adults — parents, guardians, and educators. Children do not create accounts, do not log in, and are not asked to provide any information. You, the adult, generate and print worksheets for your learner.

Please do not enter your child's full name, birthday, school ID, or other personal details anywhere in the app. The app only needs a grade level and subject — nothing about your child's identity.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Your email address and an encrypted (hashed) password, managed through our authentication provider. We never see or store your password in readable form.
Worksheet settings. The grade level, subject, topic, and learning-support mode (for example, dyslexia-friendly or dysgraphia-friendly formatting) you select when generating a worksheet.
Saved worksheets. Worksheets you choose to save to your account so you can reprint them later.
Usage data. Counts of worksheets generated (to apply fair-use limits), the subject/grade/support-mode of each generation, and timestamps. This helps us understand which features help families most.
Messages you send us. If you contact us through a form or chat, we receive your message and the contact details you include.

We do not collect your child's name, photos, precise location, contact lists, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.

3. How worksheets are generated (AI processing)

When you generate a worksheet, your selected settings (grade, subject, topic, support mode) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the worksheet content. Only the lesson settings are sent — never your email or account details. Generated content is aligned to the MATATAG curriculum framework but is created fresh by AI each time.

4. Service providers we rely on

Supabase — secure database and account authentication
Netlify — website hosting
Anthropic — AI generation of worksheet content
Formspree — contact form delivery

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Some are located outside the Philippines; where data is transferred abroad, it remains protected by contractual and technical safeguards consistent with the Data Privacy Act.

5. How we protect your data

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed. Database access is restricted with row-level security, so your saved worksheets are visible only to your account. Usage limits are enforced on the server, not just in the browser. We review our security controls regularly.

6. How long we keep data

Your account data and saved worksheets are kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except for minimal records we are legally required to retain (for example, payment records once paid plans exist).

7. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

You have the right to:

Be informed about how your data is processed
Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or outdated information
Object to processing, or withdraw consent
Request erasure or blocking of your data
Data portability — receive your data in a usable format
File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph)

8. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and post a notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
